Women’s Lacrosse Ranked 18th in IWLCA Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – Following a 1-1 week, women's lacrosse is currently ranked 18th most recent Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Coaches Poll and dropped to 20th in the latest Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Poll.

Assumption dropped one spot in the IWLCA Poll with 193 points and is just a single spot and 32 points behind Pace (225), who beat the Hounds last week. Le Moyne remains the top ranked team in the nation, accumulating all 25 first place votes. Adelphi stayed at second, while New Haven (16) and Pace (17) both are head of Assumption. Bentley moved up one spot to No. 20 while Merrimack was 21st. In the Nike/US Lacrosse Poll, Assumption dropped one spot to 20th while Le Moyne remained in first, followed by Adelphi (3) and New Haven (19).

The Hounds opened the week with a 13-11 loss at the hands of Pace. However, the team rebounded with a 19-10 victory over Franklin Pierce behind 14 saves from Allie Collins (Natick, Mass. / Natick) and five goals from senior Sarah Reilly (Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield-Warde). The victory was the team's 11th of the season, setting a new single-season program record for victories.
