Women's Golf Finishes Fourth in The NE10 Championships

THE BASICS:

- Course Stats: Par 72, 5861 yards

- Date: September 24-25, 2017

- The Lead: After shooting an 87 on the first day, sophomore Catherine French (Dudley, Mass. / Shepherd Hill Regional) cut off ten strokes in her second day of competition to place first for the Hounds and 12th overall in the NE10 Women's Golf Championships. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  In second place for the Hounds, sophomore Mia Rapoza (Westport, Mass. / Bishop Stang) took 13th place overall after shooting a combined 167. 

- In her first championship outing, freshman Samantha Leary (Hingham, Mass. / Hingham) placed third for Assumption remained in 15th place over the two days shooting a 175 while Christine Cutting (Scituate, Mass. / Scituate) took fourth place shooting 182 to take 22nd overall.  

- Senior Alyssa Ruggieri (Cranston, R.I. / Cranston West) took 33rd place shooting a combined 202. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Franklin Pierce placed first with an overall score of 618, just two strokes ahead of Merrimack in second place with a score of 620. Le Moyne took third shooting a 670. Southern New Hampshire (716), Saint Rose (731), and Adelphi (741) concluded the results respectively. 

UP NEXT:

- The Hounds are back on the road Sunday October 15 to compete at the Franklin Pierce Invitational
