Women's Golf Places Seventh in Le Moyne Fall Invitational


- Tournament: Le Moyne College Fall Invitational

- Results: Assumption 7th out of 11 teams | 357 + 357= 714

-Location: Jamesville, N.Y. – The Pompey Club

- Date: September 18-19, 2016

- The Lead: Catherine French (Dudley, Mass. / Shepherd Hill Regional) finished first for the Greyhounds and sixth overall, while the team placed seventh overall and shot 714 total over the two days.


- French, a freshman, finished first for the team and tied for sixth overall in the tournament while shooting a 157 (78, 79) over the two-day tournament.  

- Christine Cutting (Scituate, Mass. / Scituate) was second for the Hounds with an 84 on the first day and 82 on the second day for a two-day total of 166 and put her in a tie for 18th.

- Mia Rapoza (Westport, Mass. / Bishop Stang) placed third on the team with 88 and an 84 which placed her 27th overall, while teammates  Casey Gurlitz (Auburn, Mass. / Auburn) and Hannah Hubacz (Oakham, Mass. / Quabbin Regional) placed fourth and fifth for the team. Gurlitz scored 106 and 133 while  Hubacz scored 119 and 117.

- Gannon and Kutztown University took first and second place with a 610 and 614 respectively, while Le Moyne College(644) and West Chester (644) tied for third. College of Saint Rose rounded out the top five teams with a 686.


- The Hounds are back in action next Sunday the 25th and Monday the 26th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships held at the Bretwood Country Club in Keene, N.H.
