WORCESTER, Mass. – After an outstanding senior season, Assumption forward Morgan O'Donnell (Easton, Mass./Ursuline Academy) has been named to the Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) First Team, as announced by the organization earlier today.
O'Donnell led the team averaging 17.4 points per game while shooting 50.9 percent from the floor and playing 28.4 minutes per game. She was second in the NE10 in free throws made (141), was eighth in field-goal percentage at 50.9 percent and was sixth in total points scored in the season with 487. O'Donnell earned her career 1,000th point and ended her career with 1,110 total points. She set a school record scoring 39 points in the teams' conference opener overtime win against Merrimack and earned three more 30-point games in her senior season.
Lauren Manis of Holy Cross was honored as WACBA Player of the Year for the second time, while Avery LaBarbera of Holy Cross was selected as Rookie of the Year. Worcester State's Karen Tessmer earned the Coach of the Year honor.
