Joe Sliwoski enters his second year on the Assumption men’s and women’s track and field staff in 2018-19. Sliwoski works primarily with jumpers and sprinters.

Sliwoski comes to Assumption after serving as the assistant track and field coach in charge of hurdles and jumps at Babson College in 2017. Additionally, from 2012-2016, he worked as an assistant coach at Leicester high school, coaching sprints, jumps, hurdles and throws.

A 2012 graduate of the University of Rhode Island he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a Decathlete and hurdler he ranks in the top ten all time in 60m hurdles, heptathlon and decathlon. He was a member of the school record breaking shuttle hurdle relay while also earning the following honors: 2012 Atlantic 10 Championships decathlon 3rd place, 2012 New England Championships decathlon runner up, 2011 Atlantic 10 Indoor heptathlon 3rd place.
