The 2019 season will be the second year for Bryant Craft as the Assumption men’s soccer Assistant Coach. He brings to the team a variety of coaching and playing experiences over the past 10 years.
Craft’s most recent experience is with the FC Boston Bolts where he serves as a coach for both the FC Boston Bolts and the Bolts US Soccer Developmental Academy U12, U13, and U14 boys’ teams. Craft previously coached at the club level when in Chicago, Ill. from 2014-2017 with the Chicago Fire Juniors.
Prior to coaching club soccer, Craft was a four-year starter at UMass Amherst (Amherst, Mass.) from 2008-2012 where he helped the team get their first at-large NCAA Tournament bid in school history (2008). The Minutemen became the 2008 A-10 Regular Season Champions with Craft’s help. He was the captain of his team his senior year along with being selected for the NSCAA All-Regional Team.
After college, Craft became the Assistant Soccer Coach at the College of Holy Cross from 2012-2014 while also being the Director of Soccer Operations at the college. He was part of the staff that helped lead Holy Cross to the Patriot League Final in 2013. Craft then moved on to become the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Mount Ida College from 2017-2018. At Mount Ida, as the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach, he assisted the head coach in all aspects of running the men’s soccer program, from preparing training session, recruiting, scouting etc. He helped lead Mount Ida to their 4th place finish in the GNAC after being picked 8th in the preseason poll and making an appearance in the GNAC quarterfinals. While also at Mount Ida, Craft served as the Assistant to the Athletic Director where he helped the Athletic Director with the day to day functions of the Colleges 16 varsity athletic programs.
