WORCESTER, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) has named Assumption baseball's Brendan Desautels (Holden, Mass. / Holy Name Central Catholic) as the Council's new Co-Chair. Desautel will assume the position immediately.

In his new position, Desautels will work to develop and execute a strategic plan to enhance the student-athlete life within the NE-10 conference as well as address and facilitate aid for mental health, act as a voice for student-athletes in a prominent way and promote diversity and inclusion across all NE-10 Campuses.
"I'm extremely excited for Brendan and his new appointment," said baseball's head coach Mike Rocco. "During his time on campus, he has been an unbelievable ambassador for the baseball program and athletic programs overall. He is an extremely hard worker and I know he will do great things in this roll"
The NE-10 SAAC begins its second full-year during the 2019-2020 season. As Co-Chair, Desautels will also work with other officers from NE-10 schools.
