Hounds Finish 11th at Walt Disney World Classic

Orlando, Fla. (October 8) -- Led by senior Kyle Higgins (Braintree, Mass.) and freshman Tony Fierimonte (Northborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional), the Assumption men's cross country team finished in 11th place out of 28 teams with a total of 297 points.

Higgins finished 30th over the five-mile course in a time of 27:00, followed by Fierimonte in 35th place with a time of 27:12. Erich Grosse (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport Bluepoint) was 74th in 28:13, followed by freshman Sean Phayre (Smithfield, R.I./La Salle Academy) in 86th place at 28:24. The final scoring runner for the Hounds was Bobby Finnegan (Uxbridge, Mass./Hopedale), who finished in 91st place with a time of 28:34.

Assumption is back in action on Saturday, October 15th as the Hounds travel to the Connecticut College Invitational in Waterford, Conn.
