Fierimonte Earns Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week Honors

Easton, Mass. (October 3) -- Assumption College freshman Tony Fierimonte (Northborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional) has been named as the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week. This is the first Northeast-10 weekly honor for the Greyhounds in 2011.

Fierimonte placed third overall out of 224 runners at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday morning in Wenham, Mass., running a time of 26:52. The top Northeast-10 finisher in the event, Fierimonte ran at a 5:25 pace as he posted one of his best finishes of the season over the five-mile course.
