Hounds Fall to Division I Holy Cross in 8-1 Final

Worcester, Mass. (October 5) -- The Assumption women's tennis team fell to Division I Holy Cross, 8-1, on Wednesday. In number one singles, freshman Chrissy Lyons (Holden, Mass./Worcester Academy) defeated Molly Montgomery in three sets for the Hounds lone point.

Erica Micciche (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) fought hard but fell in two closely contested sets, 6-4, 6-4.

The Hounds fall to 1-5 on the season with the loss and stay 0-3 in the Northeast-10.

The Greyhounds host Bentley in a rescheduled match from September 22nd, which got rained out twice. The match will begin at 3:30 p.m. on October 13th.
