Women's Soccer Announces Schedule for 2012

Worcester, Mass. (July 12) -- The Assumption women's soccer team has announced its 2012 schedule and will open the season at home on September 1st vs. Felician at the Multi-Sport Stadium. The Hounds, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Glenn Melia, will play a 17-game slate that includes eight home games.

The Hounds posted a 4-12-1 record in 2011, including a 2-12-1 mark in Northeast-10 play. However, eight of the team's losses came by just one goal. The team's home schedule was highlighted by an October 26th win over regionally-ranked UMass Lowell by a 2-1 final.

The team was led in scoring by Kelsey Imondi (Warwick, R.I./Toll Gate) and Molly Kessler (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) with 10 points each, along with eight points from both Nicole Savi (Dedham, Mass./Dedham) and Andrea Bates (Holden, Mass./Wachusett).
