WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior Sarah Reilly (Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield-Warde) along with freshmen Allison Foley (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) and and Grace McDermott (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) were all honored by the NE10 for their play this year, as announced by the conference on Friday.
Reilly was named to the All-Conference Second Team after a record-breaking season for the Hounds. The junior played in 16 games this season totaling 88 points on 62 goals and 26 assists. The 88 points set a new single-season scoring record while her 62 goals and 26 assists each rank second in a single season in program history. She recorded at least four points in 14 games while scoring at least four goals in nine games. Reilly also currently ranks 15th in the nation averaging 5.5 points per game.
McDermott started all 17 games at defense for the Hounds. She recorded 34 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers while often guarding the team's best offensive player. McDermott's best game came in a 15-11 win over Franklin Pierce as she totaled six ground balls and five draw controls. Foley appeared in all 17 games on attack, finishing the year fifth on the team with 24 goals, and also six assists for 30 points. Her best game came in the team's 27-14 win over Southern New Hampshire as she totaled five goals and two assists for seven points.
Assumption went 9-8 overall and reached the NE10 Tournament for the second straight season. The Hounds led No. 1 ranked Adelphi for much of the first half, before the Panthers broke away in the second half to come away with the victory.
