Manchester, N.H. (March 25) -- On Tuesday afternoon, the Assumption College women's lacrosse team fell to 5-2 overall on the season as the Hounds dropped a 12-5 final to Saint Anselm College in Northeast-10 Conference play at Grappone Stadium. The teams were tied at 4-4 at the halftime break before the Hawks pulled away in the second half for the win.

The Hawks got on the board in the early minutes of the contest as Saint Anselm converted two free position shots with a span of 1:10 for the 2-0 lead with 25:15 left in the opening half. Kaitlyn Stazinski scored the first goal 3:35 into the period, followed by a tally from Marissa Daly. Assumption converted a free position opportunity of its own with 23:58 on the clock as senior Lindsay Hagerman (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) scored her 17th goal of the year to cut the lead in half at 2-1. The Hounds tied the game at the midway point of the period as freshman Quincy Wilkins (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug) used a screen to come around the net and bounce the shot past the Saint Anselm goal to knot the game at 2-2.
