Women's Lacrosse Falls to Le Moyne, 20-5
Worcester, Mass. -- The Assumption women's lacrosse team fell 20-5 to the Dolphins of Le Moyne College on Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore attacker Brenna Bauer (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) scored six goals for the Dolphins, while senior midfielder Rebekah Elmer (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) had five. Junior midfielder Brittany Brigandi (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy/UMass) had three goals and three assists. Junior goalkeeper Kelly Fucillo (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) had eight saves.
Freshman midfielder Kathyrn Beall had two goals for Assumption.
After Brigandi scored the first goal of the game, Assumption quickly recovered by scoring three straight goals, two by Beall. They would be unable to maintain that momentum, however, as Le Moyne scored four straight and never trailed again.
Assumption falls to 2-4 (0-4 in conference) while Le Moyne's record now stands at 7-1 (3-1 in conference). The Greyhounds are back in action on Saturday, April 2nd as they host Saint Anselm.
