Women's Basketball Releases 2017-18 Schedule.

Worcester, MA – The Assumption College Women's Basketball team has announced its schedule for the 2017-18 season, which includes 12 home games and opens at home against conference foe Merrimack on November 15th at 5:30 pm. The team also plays at Holy Cross in its annual exhibition contest on Nov. 4.

"I am looking forward to the start of the season," said head coach Kerry Phayre. "Opening up with a conference game will be a challenge, but I am confident our team will be ready. We have a strong foundation of players returning and will also be looking for the new players to contribute as well. It should prove to be another exciting season of basketball."

The Hounds head to the road to face Saint Anselm on November 18 at 1:30pm, followed by a home game against Bentley on Nov. 21. They end the month with contests at Georgian Court o  Nov. 26  and then at Saint Michaels on Nov. 29 at 5:30 pm.

Assumption starts off the month of December away against Southern N.H on Dec. 2 at 1:30pm before hosting two home games on Dec. 5 & 7 against Stonehill and Franklin Pierce. On Dec. 19, the Hounds go up against American Int'l, followed by LIU Post on Dec. 30 at 1:30 pm. Women's Basketball concludes the month of December at Molloy a day later.

The New Year play kicks off at Adelphi on Jan. 3 at 5:30 pm, followed by four home games against New Haven, St. Thomas Aquinas, Pace and American Int'l. The Hounds travel to St. Rose on Jan. 20 before playing at Southern Conn. St. on Jan. 23 at 1:30 pm. The team hosts Le Moyne on Jan. 27 at 1:30 pm before rounding out the month at Merrimack at 5:30 pm.

The Hounds compete at Bentley on Feb. 3 at 1:30pm. Assumption then hosts two consecutive home games against St. Anselm and St. Michaels before traveling to Franklin Pierce on February 14 and then Stonehill at 1:30pm on the 17th. Assumption will play its final regular season game on February 20 against Southern N.H., with the NE10 Tournament scheduled for a Feb. 23 start.
