Gibson Named to NCAA East Regional All-Tournament Team

Waltham, Mass. (March 16) -- Assumption College sophomore guard Gabrielle Gibson (Amityville, N.Y./Copiague) was named to the NCAA East Regional All-Tournament Team, as announced at the regional final on Tuesday night at Bentley. The Greyhounds saw their season end at 22-8 overall in the NCAA Regional Semifinals on Sunday.

Gibson exploded in the two games for the Greyhounds, averaging 27.5 points per game while shooting 68 percent from the field and hitting 9-of-15 three-point attempts (60 percent). She posted a career-high 28 points in a quarterfinal win over Saint Rose, followed by a 27-point showing in a loss to top-seeded Bentley.
