Greyhounds Lose to Franklin Pierce University, 6-3

Worcester, Mass. (April 13) -- The Assumption College men's tennis team lost to Franklin Pierce University, 6-3, at the Assumption College tennis courts on Friday afternoon.

Pat Murray (Cumberland, R.I./Cumberland) picked up two points for Assumption, winning at number two doubles and number four singles. The scores were 7-6 (6), 2-0 in singles before his opponent retired, and 9-8 (6).

Senior Nate Lafond (Goffstown, N.H./Goffstown) picked up the third point for Assumption with a victory at number five singles. The scores were 6-1, 7-5.

The Greyhounds fall to 3-12 overall and 1-9 in league play and will return to action on Saturday, April 14 against Saint Anselm College. The match will begin at 12 p.m. at the Assumption College tennis courts.
