Ryan Levesque enters his fourth season as head coach of the men’s soccer coach at Assumption College in 2013. He has compiled a record of 13-25-6 over his first three seasons at the helm, including a 6-7-2 record in 2010.
He served under long-time coach Seamus Purcell in the first two years of Division I play for Bryant University helping guide the Bulldogs to five wins in 2010. He also spent three years under Coach Mike Noonan, now the head coach at Clemson University, while at Brown. The Bears went a combined 35-12-5 winning the Ivy League in 2007 and advancing to a pair of NCAA tournaments.
Levesque coached at Suffield Academy (Suffield, CT) from 2001-05. His teams qualified for the New England tournament four straight years and his 2005 team won the New England Prep School championship with a 14-2-2 record. He also served as an assistant coach at the University of Vermont (1998 2001). Vermont was the 2001 America East champion and played in the NCAA tournament. He is currently the Bruno United Boys U15 and U16 premier team coach.
A 1996 graduate of Vermont (psychology major), he was a four-year starter and the Most Valuable Player of the 1995 New England all-star game. He was a two-time academic all-conference player and is listed in the top 10 of career goal scorers for the Catamounts. He was also an all-America high school player at the Brooks School (North Andover, MA) in 1992.
He has also has extensive professional playing experience, competing for the Connecticut Wolves, the Abbington Town United, English Third Division, the Buffalo Blizzard, the Vermont Wanderers, the Boston Bulldogs, the New Hampshire Phantoms and the Western Mass. Pioneers. He holds a USSF "A" License and the NSCAA Premier Diploma.
