Men's Soccer Releases 2017 Schedule

2017 Complete Schedule

WORCESTER, Mass. – After a strong 2016 season, which included the program's first NE10 Tournament appearance since 2009, Assumption men's head soccer coach, DJ Corrao is pleased to release the program's 2017 schedule.

"I am looking forward to returning to the sidelines for another season with a talented group of student-athletes," said Corrao. "Our goal every year is to qualify for the NE10 Championships. In order to do that, it is vital to win home matches. As a result, I'm very grateful to our administration for helping us put together this schedule, which has us hosting four non-conference matches. This will be a great learning experience for our young team and hopefully, will contribute to us reaching our goal."

This year the Hounds will begin their season by hosting four non-conference opponents in Daemen, Nyack, Mercy and Roberts Wesleyan. Assumption will face the Wildcats at 1 p.m. on Sept. 2 and the Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, followed by the next two games Sept. 7 & Sept. 9.

The Hounds will kick off NE10 play with a pair of matches against Bentley on Sept. 12 and then 2016 NE10 Tournament fourth seed, Franklin Pierce on Sept. 16. The Hounds round out the month of September with two NE10 home games against Le Moyne and Southern Connecticut State.

To begin the month of October, Assumption will host defending Conference Champion, Adelphi at 7 p.m. on Oct. 5. The Hounds look to complete their season with two of their final four regular-season games at home. Assumption will take on Saint Rose on Oct. 14 and New Haven on Oct. 18 before travelling to Saint Anselm on Oct. 21 and Stonehill on Oct. 24.

Assumption will host Senior Night on Friday, Oct. 28 against Merrimack in its final regular-season home game of 2017.
