Men's Soccer Announces Incoming Class
Worcester, Mass. (July 16) -- The Assumption College men's soccer team has announced its incoming class of 2016, according to head coach Ryan Levesque. "I am very pleased with the incoming class of 2012. Each Player has experienced individual success but it is the fact that each young man has been a leader for a team that has won a high school or club state championship. Their experience and character will help Assumption Men's Soccer accomplish the team's goal of building a culture of success," said Levesque.
Dana King
Hometown/High School: Windham, Maine/Windham
Position: Goalkeeper Height: 6-0 Weight: 175
Highlights: Helped his team win five state titles for premier (U-12 through U-15 and U-17) and one Maine state title for his high school team... Three-time captain of his high school team… Seven-time captain of his premier team... Helped his team to Super Y Nationals at U-15 and U-16… Named First Team all-conference as a junior and senior… Named the Defensive Player of the Year as a senior… Named a scholar athlete from 2008-2011.
Coach Levesque on King: "Dana has been a leader for several successful club and high school teams. His experience, maturity, and ability betw een the posts gives the field players in front of him great confidence in their goalkeeper."
Nemanja Kaurin
Hometown/High School: South Portland, Maine/South Portland
Position: Midfield Height: 6-0 Weight: 170
Highlights: Kaurin lived in Serbia for six year before moving to Maine... Played premier soccer for MCU Portland Phoenix... Member of the U-15 and U-17 state champions... High school team captain as a junior and senior year... Led the team in goals from sophomore to senior year and assists as a sophomore and junior... Named Forecaster's SPHS Male Fall Athlete of the Year as a junior... Named First Team all-conference as a senior and All Western Maine as a junior and senior.
Coach Levesque on Kaurin: "Nem has tremendous presence on the field as he uses his size and sound technique under pressure to dominate the midfield."
Joshua Dutilley
Hometown/High School: Keene, N.H./Keene
Position: Midfield Height: 6-1 Weight: 185
Highlights: Dutilley scored 32 goals in his three-year career… Team reached the Division One quarterfinals as a junior and senior… Served as a co-captain his senior year.
Coach Levesque on Dutilley: "Josh is a skilled and intelligent player who is an excellent passer and possesses an attacking Mentality that will benefit our team."
Ryan Marques
Hometown/High School: Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury
Position: Forward Height: 5-11 Weight: 185
Highlights: Played one year at the University of Hartford... Four-year varsity soccer letter winner at Glastonbury High School, where he was a start er on the team for three seasons… Netted 27 career goals… Led the team in scoring his final two seasons and was tabbed all-conference and all-academic as a senior… An All Hartford Courant All-Star team selection… Also played for the FSA Soccerplus Football Club.
Coach Levesque on Marques: "Ryan brings a wealth of experience to our attack and will compliment his teammates in the final 1/3. He strikes the ball well and shows up in dangerous positions around the opponent's goal."
Jordan Cavaco
Hometown/High School: Brockton, Mass./Thayer Academy
Position: Forward/Midfield Height: 5-10 Weight: 170
Highlights: Member of three Massachusetts State Championship teams with the FC Blazers… Region 1 Referee - Voted in 2012 as the "Massachusetts Top Young Referee"
Coach Levesque on Cavaco: "Jordan suffered a serious injury during the fall of his high school season but has demonstrated incredible resilience and work ethic to recover fully and play at a high level again. Jordan's pace, acceleration and personality will be a welcomed addition to the team."
Glenn Libassi
Hometown: Warwick, R.I.
Position: Forward Height: 5-5 Weight: 130
Highlights: Part of Rhode Island state champion soccer team, LaSalle… Attended regional tournament for five consecutive years… Named to the Third Team all-division as a senior… Member of the Rhode Island honor societ y.
Coach Levesque on Libassi: "Glenn is a shifty and explosive attacking player who will provide an immediate boost to our attacking productivity."

Highlights: Jones was named First Team all-division and First Team all-area as a senior and Second Team all-state and Second Team all-division as a junior... He was a two-time captain... He was a member of four state cup championships with Bruno United.
Coach Levesque on Jones: "Ben is an outstanding athlete and GK who I have coached for several years in club soccer. His kicking is one of his best attributes as player and can provide an immediate territorial advantage for his team."
