Dan Matisoff Named NEILA Academic All-New England

WORCESTER, Mass. – Assumption men's lacrosse senior Dan Matisoff (Milton, Mass. / Milton) was named New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Academic All-New England, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Members of the NEILA Academic All-New England Team must be seniors, nominated by their head coaches, and are comprised of student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career. Each student-athlete must also own a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, as well as be a significant enough player that he was nominated for at least All-Conference selection.

Matisoff was a co-captain for the Hounds this year, appearing in all 13 games and totaling 19 points on 12 goals and seven assists as a midfielder. He also added eight ground balls and four caused turnovers while graduating as part of the winningest class in program history. Off the field, Matisoff graduated with a GPA over 3.4 with a degree in Organizational Communication.
