McKee, Moran Honored By Northeast-10 Conference

Easton, Mass. (May 4) -- Assumption College men's lacrosse head coach Mel McKee and freshman defensive midfielder Andrew Moran (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) have both been recognized by the Northeast-10 Conference. McKee earned Coach of the Year honors, while Moran was named to the league's All-Rookie Team. All awards were voted on by the league coaches.

McKee earns Coach of the Year honors for the first time after guiding the Greyhounds to a 9-7 record and setting the program's single-season record for victories. Assumption started the season at 5-0 and advanced to the Northeast-10 Tournament for the first time in the program's history.

Moran appeared in all 15 games as a freshman, earning three starts. He finished the season with one goal, six groundballs and two caused turnovers. Moran scored his first career goal in a 16-9 victory over American International in the team's final home game of the season.
