No. 2 Le Moyne Blanks Greyhounds by 13-0 Final

Worcester, Mass. (April 3) -- Led by a three-goal performance by Le Moyne's Nick DiSarro, the No. 2 ranked Dolphins defeated Assumption by a 13-0 final on Sunday afternoon at Multi-Sport Stadium in Northeast-10 Conference men's lacrosse action.

Le Moyne got off to a quick start with a goal from Corey Bulken just 16 seconds into the opening quarter. The Dolphins put 16 shots on goal in the first half and took a 6-0 lead into the halftime break with three goals in each of the first two quarters. The Greyhounds remained within striking distance at the break due to 10 first-half saves from senior netminder Scott Vogel (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy-Liberty). Vogel finished the game with 19 stops, while Jeff White made four saves for the victory in net for the Dolphins in 52 minutes of play.

The Dolphins pulled away with six third-quarter goals and added one score in the fourth to account for the 13-0 final. Le Moyne had three players with multiple goals, led by the hat trick from DiSarro. Jack Harmatuck posted a game-high three assists for the Dolphins as well.

With the loss, the Greyhounds fall to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in Northeast-10 Conference play, while the Dolphins improve 6-1 overall and a perfect 4-0 in league action. Assumption is back in action on Tuesday, April 5 as the Greyhounds travel to Southern New Hampshire for a 7 p.m. start at Larkin Field.
