Entering his 19th year as the golf head coach at Assumption College in 2012-2013, Tim Bibaud is a recognizable name in Worcester County golfing circles. A 1977 graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, he received the Pioneer Award following his senior season. He was a four-year player and captain at the College of the Holy Cross where he played for Bob Molt.
Bibaud graduated from Holy Cross in 1981 and from New England School of Law in 1988. An assistant District Attorney for over twenty years, Judge Bibaud was appointed to the bench in August of 2010 by Governor Deval Patrick. He is presently a Justice of the District Court assigned to sit in the East Brookfield District Court and throughout Worcester County.
Tim has served as president of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association and has served on its Board for many years. He was also the 2005 recipient of the Gordon McCollough Award which recognizes the New England College Coach of the Year.
The Bibaud name has long been associated with Assumption College. His father, Charlie is an Assumption Prep and Assumption College graduate and was selected to be a member of the Assumption College Hall of Fame. He was a legendary basketball coach at the high school level at Assumption Prep and St. John’s High School.
Coach Bibaud resides is Worcester with his wife, Liz, daughter, Alli (Assumption ‘09), along with sons Patrick (Manhattan College ‘12) and Timothy (St. John’s HS '14).
