Hounds Finish 22nd at New England Golf Championship

Brewster, Mass. (October 19) -- At the 2011 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship, the Assumption men's golf team placed 22nd overall out of 34 schools at The Captains Golf Course. The Hounds shot a two-day total of 644 in the event that was captured by Bentley University.

The top finisher for the Hounds was senior Trevor Ruff (Pomfret Center, Conn./Woodstock Academy), who finished tied for 40th with a two-day total of 156 (78-78). Freshman Adam Bourque ended up tied for 82nd at 161 (79-82), followed by junior Pete Duckett (Harvard, Mass./Bromfield School) at 162 (80-82). Freshman Andrew Dame came in tied for 114th at 166 (82-84), followed by Devin Tarpey (Melrose, Mass./Malden Catholic) at 152nd (92-83).

This concludes the fall season for the Assumption golf team.
