Beinert Earns Northeast-10 Player of the Week Honors
Easton, Mass. (November 28) -- Assumption College junior forward Tim Beinert (Bellerose Village, N.Y./Holy Cross) has been named as the Northeast-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week. This is the first weekly honor of the season for the Greyhounds, who currently sit at 4-1 overall and are unbeaten in Northeast-10 play at 3-0.
Beinert averaged a double-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in a 2-0 week for the Hounds. He also added two blocks and two steals per game, while shooting 69.6 percent from the field and 92.3 percent from the free throw line. Beinert began the week with a career-high 27 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a home win over So Connecticut.
At Le Moyne on Sunday, Beinert posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double to go along with nine assists, and added a game-winning three-point play in the final seconds of overtime.
