August 29, 2010 WORCESTER --- Two years ago, the Greyhounds endured a 1-9 season, a season which at times seemed demoralizing, but not enough to count out Assumption’s sophomore class. “We were actually in a lot of close games that year, most of them by only about a touchdown,” said right offensive tackle Matt Sidebottom, who was starting for the first time that season. “We knew the winning was going to come. So Mike Foley possibly could’ve done without all the phone calls three years ago from his buddy just a few blocks away. Greyhounds announce 2010 football schedule
March 12, 2010 WORCESTER, Mass. --- For the first time in its football history the Hounds scheduled two N.C.A.A. Division I opponents as the department releases the 2010 schedule. After opening at Millersville, PA, a member of the PSAC, Saturday, September 4, the team will initiate its home season with Wagner College (Staten Island, NY), a member of the Division I Northeast Conference, with a 7 p.m. kickoff in the first-ever home Saturday night game in team history. Then they will play at Northeast-10 Conference rival New Haven Saturday, September 18 before travelling to the Bronx, NY for a second Division I game with Fordham, a member of the Patriot League.
