WHO ARE WE?

The Assumption College FOOTBALL CAPTAIN'S COUNCIL is a group of people, parents, alumni, former players, and friends of Assumption College football who want to help with promotional ideas concerning the team. All members of the council must be members of the Assumption College Greyhound Club.

HOW CAN I JOIN?

Anyone can join by calling the football office (508) 767-7454 or e-mailing at football@assumption.edu. Keep in mind that all captain's councilers are Greyhound Club members.

MEETING AGENDA NOTES

1. Auction items for gala: group will be encouraged to solicit more items for both the gala and the department golf tournament

2. Advertising for game programs

3. Pre- and post-game picnics: parents have organized a committee of volunteers to staff the picnics (cook, serve, set-up, clean-up, etc. ) and acquire food and necessary implements (napkins, plates, forks, knives, condiments, etc.)

4. Phonathon: parent-to-parent, alumni-to-alumni to increase participation in the captains council, solicitation of advertising and auction items and support for the gala and the department golf tournament.

5. Cost of preseason camp ideas ($400.00 per person): ways to help finance the pre-season camp without using fund raising monies exclusively. . . i.e. program advertising, relative adoption, auction items. The "Our Favorite Greyhound" program with each student-athlete on the team soliciting family and friends to support the team was initiated last year.

6. More suggestions are welcome.
