Shortstop Keddy Earns All-Region Honors

Worcester, Mass. (May 5) -- Assumption College shortstop Shane Keddy (Worcester, Mass./Worcester Tech) has been named to the 2012 Daktronics NCAA Division II Baseball All-East Region Second Team and the 2012 NCBWA All-East Region Second Team, as announced this week.

Keddy propelled the Greyhounds with a league-best .389 batting average to go with team-highs of 18 doubles, 26 RBIs, 96 total bases and 25 runs. The captain had a 14 game hit streak that spanned from March 3 to April 1, then had a streak of 22 games in which he reached base spanning from April 5 to May 1. He was named to the Northeast-10 Conference First Team.
