Derosier, Frigon, Quinn Named All-Worcester

Worcester, Mass. -- Three Greyhounds were named to the inaugural All-Worcester Baseball team on Tuesday, ranking among the best of the ten Worcester area colleges.

Senior left fielder Wally Derosier (Shrewsbury, Mass./Holy Name) and senior shortstop Shawn Frigon (Worcester, Mass./St. Peter-Marian) were named to the First Team All-Worcester honors. Junior catcher Tim Quinn (Paxton, Mass./Saint John's) was named to the Second Team.

Derosier led the Greyhounds with a .336 batting average and eight home runs, to go along with 27 RBI and 12 stolen bases. Frigon hit .271, stealing a team-high 13 bases and drawing 27 walks. Quinn led the Greyhounds with 28 RBI, hitting eight home runs and hitting .327 while throwing out 17 base runners.

Assumption finished their season with a 19-29 record.
