Caitlyn Clark Finishes 68th in N.C.A.A. National Cross Country

CHINO, California --- Senior CAITLYN CLARK (Worcester, MA/St. Peter Marian), the first Assumption College cross country athlete to advance to the N.C.A.A. Division II National Championship finished 68th of 186 runners in the event here SATURDAY.

The championship was hosted at Prado Park by California Poly Pomona.

Clark was the third New England and Northeast-10 Conference competitor finishing with a time of 23:35.9 over the 6K course. Only UMass Lowell junior NICOLE PLANTE (28th at 22;24.4) and Stonehill senior ERIN SMITH (58th at 23:23.4) outran her.

Clark, who has won three invitationals this year . . . at Saint Anselm, at Bryant and the Worcester City Championship . . . and finished second in the Northeast-10 Conference championships added a third-place finish in the N.C.A.A. regional to her impressive season resume two weeks ago.
