Greyhound women's soccer plays 0-0 overtime tie with A.I.C.

     SPRINGFIELD, MA --- Assumption College and American International College played a double-overtime 0-0 tie in Northeast-10 Conference women’s soccer here SATURDAY.
    Senior goalkeeper LAUREN KEATING (Nashua, NH/Nashua North) made 10 saves in 110 minutes for the Greyhounds, while postgraduate goalkeeper KARA POTTS (Westfield, MA/Westfield) made five saves for the Yellow Jackets. It was Keating's third shutout of the season and the 14th of her career. For Potts, it was the sixth shutout of the season.
    Yellow Jackets senior forward CASSIE ASHWELL (Agawam, MA/Agawam) led the A.I.C. offense with eight shots and three shots on goal.  Senior defender JANE RICKER (Sudbury, MA/Lincoln-Sudbury) led the Greyhounds with three shots and two shots on goal.
   American International outshot the Greyhounds, 21-13, and had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
    American International is now 9-5-1 and 7-5-1 in the Northeast 10, while the Greyhounds slip to 3-9-2 and 3-8-1.   Assumption is next in action TUESDAY as they host conference rival Bentley University at 7 p.m.  American International hosts Dowling College TUESDAY at 4 p.m.
