S.N.H.U. stops Greyhound volleyball in NE-10 match

Southern New Hampshire 3, Assumption 1
    MANCHESTER, N.H. --- Junior outside hitter STEPHANIE DLUGINSKI (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) had 18 kills leading Southern New Hampshire University past Assumption College, 3-1, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball here SATURDAY.
    Game scores:  S.N.H.U. 25-13, 22-25, 25-22 and 25-16.
    Sophomore setter LAUREN LORENZ (Frankfort, IL/Frankfort) had a career high 45 assists for the Penmen, while junior outside hitter MEGAN LESCZYNSKI (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) added 10 kills for the Penmen.
    Freshman outside hitter MARY JOHNSTON (Pearland, TX/Glenda Dawson)  led the Greyhounds with 11 kills, while freshman outside hitter LAUREN OSTAFIN (Avon, CT/Avon) had eight kills and senior outside hitter AIMEE DRAINVILLE (Rockville, RI/Chariho) added seven kills.  Freshman setter KRISTIN FLATEKVAL (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) had 29 assists while sophomore libero STEPH WHOOTEN ended with a game-high 16 digs.
    Assumption is now 9-19 overall and 0-10 in the conference, while Southern New Hampshire is now 8-7 and 4-3.  The Hounds are at conference rival Southern Connecticut WEDNESDAY at 7 p.m.  S.N.H.U. plays at NE-10 rival Saint Michael’s WEDNESDAY.
