Merrimack stops Assumption, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. --- Senior forward/captain GABRIELLE GRAMPREY (Brockton, MA/Brockton) scored all three goals as undefeated Merrimack College (3-0-1, 1-0-0) defeated Assumption College, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference womens soccer here SATURDAY.

Freshman forward JENN PINO (North Andover, MA/North Andover) assisted on two of the goals and sophomore KARA HENNIGAN (Pawtucket, RI/Saint Raphael) as credited with the assist on the first goal.

Senior captain BRITTANY GUSTAFSON (East Hampton, CT/East Hampton) (two saves) and sophomore KILEY HORNE (Scituate, MA/Thayer Academy) (six saves) each played a half in net for the Warriors. Junior LAUREN KEATING (Nashua, NH/North) made 10 saves in goal for the Greyhounds.

Merrimack outshot the Greyhounds, 24-18, and enjoyed a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The Greyhounds (0-2-0, 0-1-0) are next in action TUESDAY when they travel to Northeast-10 Conference rival University of New Haven at 4 p.m. Merrimack returns to action at home against non-conference opponent Nyack College Monday at 4 p.m.
