Saint Rose stops Greyhound volleyball, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference action

WORCESTER, Mass. --- Sophomore outside hitter MARILYN GLAMACK (Victor, NY/Victor), junior middle hitter KELLY RYAN (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) and sophomore SARAH KAHRS (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park) each had seven kills as the College of Saint Rose defeated Assumption College, 3-0, in a Northeast-10 Conference womens volleyball match WEDNESDAY night in the Laska Gym.
The Golden Knights won three straight games: 25-15, 25-21 and 25 13.
Sophomore setter THERESA STAULO (Newton, MA/Newton) ended with 25 set assists, while senior libero MARY GERMAN (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) ended with 14 digs for the Knights.
Highlights for the Greyhounds included 15 digs by freshman libero STEPH WHOOTEN (Norton, MA/Bishop Feehan).
The Greyhounds, now 1-7 overall and 0-1 in the conference are next n action when they host Pace SUNDAY at 2 p.m. in the Laska Gym. Saint Rose is now 9-4 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
