Bentley stops Greyhounds women's volleyball in Northeast-10 Conference action

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Junior setter KELLY MEE (Ivyland, PA/Council Rock) had 35 set assists and added five kills as Bentley University defeated Assumption College, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball action FRIDAY at the Dana Center.

The game scores were 25-13, 25-12 and 25-13.

Bentley, which has an 8-2 record in its last 10 matches, improved to 9 6 overall and 4-2 in the conference. The Falcons hit .487 in the match, making only five attack errors in the match. The Greyhounds fell to 1-10 and 0-4 in conference play.

Mee had at least 10 assists in each set with 13 in the first game and 12 in the second. She hit .714 and was also one of six Falcons with at least five kills in the match.

Assumption (1-10, 0-4 NE-10) received six kills apiece from senior outside hitter JESSICA HALLER (Meriden, CT/Maloney) and junior middle hitter AIMEE DRAINVILLE (Rockville, RI/Chariho). Freshman setter/libero STEPH WHOOTEN (Norton, MA/Bishop Feehan) had three service aces.

The Greyhounds are next in action WEDNESDAY when they host Northeast-10 Conference rival American International College in the Laska Gym at 7 p.m. Bentley plays MONDAY at Saint Anselm College in another conference matchup at 7:30 p.m.
