Kessler, Scott standout at Terrier Track Classic

BOSTON, Mass. --- Freshman MOLLY KESSLER (Hopkinton, MA/Hopkinton) and senior BERNARD SCOTT (St. Petersburg, FL/Admiral Farragut) took center stage for the Assumption College indoor track team in the Boston University Terrier Classic Friday and Saturday.

Kessler set the team indoor record with a 2:22.69 time in the 800 meter event, while for the second straight week Scott was superb in his specialty finishing third in the 55-meter dash with a 6.49 time---just .02 of a second off his team record.

Kessler broke the mark set by Brooke Perron (2:23.59), also in the Boston University Terrier Classic in 2007. She shaved over five seconds off her mark of 2:27.76 in the Wesleyan University Invitational last week. Scott's team-record and best time of 6.47 was set in the Smith College Invitational in 2008.

The Greyhounds are next in action at the Smith College Invitational this coming Saturday.
