Steve Blaisdell, Brandon Sullivan lead Greyhounds men soccer past Felician, 3-0

RUTHERFORD, NJ --- Junior forward STEVE BLAISDELL (Peabody, MA/Bishop Fenwick) scored two goals and junior goalkeeper BRANDON SULLIVAN (Halesite, NY/Saint Dominic) posted the shutout as Assumption College defeated Felician College, 3-0, in a non conference men's soccer game here SATURDAY.
Sullivan posted his second straight shutout this season and ninth of his career. He has allowed just one goal over his last four games (380:00) and also extended his regular-season scoreless string to 370:57. Felician was the last team to score against him in a 1-1 overtime tie last season (10/18/08).
Freshman midfielder DOM MONDI (Peabody. MA/Peabody) scored his first career goal at 51:09 on a nice feed from junior midfielder ALEX CHUPKA (Douglas, MA/Douglas).
Blaisdell scored an unassisted goal at 66:08 and added a second on a penalty kick at 74:49. Blaisdell now has three goals on the season as the Greyhounds improved to 2-1.
The Greyhounds outshot Felician 18-7 and owned a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks. Freshman goalkeeper DAVID LO BUE (Elmwood Park, NJ/Don Bosco Prep) made 10 saves for the Golden Falcons, now 1-3.
The Greyhounds host Northeast-10 Conference rival University of New Haven TUESDAY at 3:30 p.m., while Felician hosts Saint Thomas Aquinas MONDAY at 7 p.m.
