WORCESTER, Mass. --- Freshman attack CONNOR MC CANN (Mineola, NY/Mineola) scored four goals to lead Adelphi University past Assumption College, 18-9, in Northeast-10 Conference men's lacrosse action Wednesday night in the Multi-Sport Stadium.
Junior attack WILL LANGEVIN (Concord, MA/Concord-Carlisle), sophomore midfielder TOM GUIDO (Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor) and sophomore midfielder ALEJANDRO RUIZ (Dover, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) each scored two goals to lead the Greyhounds. Senior attack KEVIN KLASKIN (Norfolk, MA/Xaverian) had two assists and now has 10 in the six games to lead the team. Guido leads the team with 11 goals, while Langevin has 10.
Junior midfielder MIKE IORIO (Sayville, NY/Sayville) and postgraduate midfielder JONATHAN BARON (Hewlett, NY/Hewlett) each had three goals for Adelphi.
The teams each had 34 shots and also tied with 29 ground balls. Junior goalkeeper SCOTT VOGEL (Powell, OH/Olentangy-Liberty) had seven saves for the Greyhounds while Adelphi senior keeper DEVIN SCHNEIDERBAUER (Pepperell, MA/Saint Bernard's) had 10 for the Panthers.
Adelphi is now 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference, Assumption is 3-4 overall and 0-4 in the conference. The Greyhounds host conference rival Saint Anselm College Saturday at 1 p.m.
