WORCESTER, Mass. --- Junior forward TORY STAPLETON (Rahway, NJ/Gill St. Bernard's) scored 22 points including a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line to lead Southern New Hampshire past Assumption College, 74 60, in Northeast-10 Conference mens basketball action Saturday at the Laska Gym.

The Greyhounds had four double-figure scorers including senior guard COURTLAND BLUFORD (Ft. Washington, MD/St. Vincent Pallotti) (12 points, four assists), senior center SAVOY FRAINE (Grenada Hills, CA/Grenada Hills) (12 points, six rebounds), sophomore forward TIM BEINERT (Floral Park, NY/Holy Cross) (11 points) on perfect five-for-five floor accuracy, and junior forward MIKE BALDARELLI (Sutton, MA/Holy Name) (11 points, 11 rebounds).

Southern New Hampshire, shooting .536 from the floor (15-for-28), led 41-29 at the half. The Penmen also blocked 10 shots in a superb defensive effort.

The Penmen then ran an 11-0 spurt to start the second half to build their largest lead, 52-29, with 15:43 remaining.

The Greyhounds are next in action at the College of Saint Rose, Wednesday, at 7:30 p.m. in another Northeast-10 Conference game, while Southern New Hampshire is at Saint Anselm College the same night.
