Pace stops Greyhounds men's baskeball in Northeast-10 action

PLEASANTVILLE, NY --- Senior guard CARLOS HOWARD (Ft. Washington, MD/Gonzaga Prep) scored 17 points to lead four double-figure scorers as Pace University defeated Assumption College, 84-63, in Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball action Saturday at the Goldstein Center.

Senior guard/captain COURTLAND BLUFORD (Ft. Washington, MD/St. Vincent Pallotti) scored 15 points with six rebounds to lead five double-figure scorers for the Greyhounds. Junior forward/captain MIKE BALDARELLI (Sutton, MA/Holy Name) added 13 points, six rebounds, while sophomore guard KEVIN DONAHUE (Pawcatuck, CT/Stonington) (11 points), senior forward/center SAVOY FRAINE (Grenada Hills, CA/Grenada Hills) (10 points, 6 rebounds) and freshman forward RONSON QUICK (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) (10 points, 9 rebounds) all played well in support roles.

Freshman forward TRISTAN BENJAMIN (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) added 15 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots for the Setters, while sophomore forward DELROY DALEY (Bronx, NY/Saint Raymond) (11 points, 9 rebounds) and senior guard LAURENCE MC GHEE (Linden, NJ/Linden) (11 points, 7 assists) contributed.

The Greyhounds are now 7-4 overall and 4-3 in the conference, while Pace moves to 7-5 overall and 5-2 in conference play.

The Greyhounds are next in action Wednesday when they host the University of Massachusetts Lowell at the Laska Gym.
