Brockport blanks Ice Dogs, 4-0, in non-conference game

WORCESTER, Mass. --- Junior forward RAY TREMBLAY (Peachland, BC) scored two goals, one on the power play and one shorthanded, leading SUNY-Brockport past Assumption College, 4-0, in non conference ice hockey action Wednesday at the Buffone Rink.

Assumption College sophomore goalkeeper STEVE DI DOMENICO (Lowell, MA/Lowell/Tilton School) was spectacular in the net making a career-high 52 saves. Sophomore OLIVER WREN (Oakville, Ont.) posted the shutout with 33 saves for the Golen Eagles.

Brockport took a 1-0 lead in the first period as junior forward TOM GALIANI (Lindenhurst, NY) scored the eventual game winner at the 19:00 mark of the period, his eighth goal of the season on a feed from sophomore forward JAMES CODY (Schwenksville, PA).

The Golden Eagles then tacked on two power-play goals in the second period as Cody, his eighth goal of the season, and then Tremblay, his third goal, scored.

Tremblay added a shorthanded tally in the third period at 14:30.

The Greyhounds are next in action Saturday when they host Northeast 10 Conference rival Stonehill College at 6:35.
