WORCESTER, Mass. --- Senior forward HILLARY ZYSK (Walpole, MA/Walpole) scored the game?€™s only goal less than two minutes remaining as Assumption College defeated Saint Anselm College, 1-0, in a Northeast-10 Conference field hockey game TUESDAY night at the Multi Sport Stadium.
Junior goalie DANIELLE LUONGO (Northboro, MA/Algonquin) posted the shutout making three saves.
Zysk scored the goal, her first of the season, off a rebound in a mjaor flurry in front of Hawks?€™ freshman goalie LINDSAY MAC DONALD (Dedham, MA/Dedham). MacDonald made three save for the game.
The Greyhounds, now 2-6 overall and 1-2 in the conference, outshot the Hawks, 9-8, in the defensive struggle however owned a large 13-2 edge in penalty corners.
The Greyhounds are at Massachusetts Lowell SATURDAY at 1 p.m. intheir next game. Saint Anselm, now 0-8 overall and 0-2 in the conference, hosts Limestone, SC FRIDAY at 3 p.m. The Greyhounds play Limestone SUNDAY at 12 noon.
