Kristin Cannon renamed women's soccer assistant coach for the Greyhounds

WORCESTER, Mass. --- Former standout defender KRISTIN CANNON has been renamed assistant women's soccer coach at Assumption College.
The announcement was made jointly by recently hired women's soccer coach Glenn Melia and Ted Paulauskas, Director of Athletics.
Cannon served as the top assistant coach for then coach Neil Stafford last year and will join Melia's staff for the 2009 season.
One of the premier defenders in Greyhounds women's soccer history, she was a four-year starter and still holds the team record for most games started (77) in a career. She played on two Northeast-10 Conference and N.C.A.A. Division II regional finalists (2004, 05).
She was named first-team Northeast-10 Conference all-star (2005, 06), first-team New England Coaches Association all-star (2005, 06) and earned Northeast-10 Conference all-academic honors in 2006.
She was awarded the Rev. Armand Desautels Memorial Award as the premier senior student-athlete in 2007. She earned her bachelor of arts in marketing cum laude in May 2007.
She was also a standout performer at East Greenwich, RI High School.
