Bethany Plasski (20 points) leads Greyhound women's basketball past Laval, 75-57, in exhibition game

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Senior captain/guard BETHANY PLASSKI (Fall River, MA/Durfee) scored 20 points and sophomore forward MOLLY GRIFFITHS (Walpole, MA/Ursuline Academy) added 18 points and nine rebounds to lead Assumption College past Laval University (Quebec City, QUE), 75-57, in a women's basketball exhibition game SATURDAY night at the Laska Gym.

Plasski scored 11 points in the first half as the Greyhounds built a 32-31 advantage however it was Griffiths making three straight three-pointers in the second half that opened the game open.

Junior guard LESLIE LUPIEN (Pomfret Center, CT/Woodstock) contributed 11 points, while senior/captain point guard TRISH GARDNER (North Dartmouth, MA/Dartmouth) added four points and nine assists.

Senior forward MYRIAM LAMARRE (Quebec City, QUE) led Laval with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

The Greyhounds have an exhibition game Tuesday at Holy Cross with tipoff at 7 p.m. They open their regular-season against Bloomfield, NJ College in Stonehill College Mixer Saturday at 1 p.m.
