Southern New Hampshire stops Assumption, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference volleyball

MANCHESTER, NH - Sophomore middle hitter STEPHANIE DLUGINSKI (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) finished with 14 kills and four blocks leading Southern New Hampshire University past Assumption College, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball here SATURDAY.

The Penmen prevailed 225-21, 25-18 and 25-13 while improving their record to 6-8 overall and 3-3 in conference play. The Greyhounds are now 2-10 overall and 0-7 in the conference.

Senior outside hitter BRIANNA DOUCET (Danville, NH/Timberlane) finished with eight kills and seven digs for the Penmen, while junior defensive specialist ASHLEY DINGLE (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) had a team-high eight digs. Junior setter KIM ROWE (Exeter, NH/Exeter) handed out 22 assists.

Junior middle hitter COURTNEY STRATTON (Hudson, NH/Alvirne) led the Greyhounds with six kills, while sophomore setter MARILISA STRAND (Sarasota, FL/Cardinal Mooney) finished with 15 assists. Junior libero KELLY BLUMENAUER (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) had a game-high nine digs.

The Greyhounds host conference rival Pace University Wednesday at 7 p.m., while Southern New Hampshire travels to Stonehill Tuesday at 7 p.m. in another conference match.
