Greyhounds volleyball rallies past Saint Anselm, 3-2, in Northeast-10 Conference match

MANCHESTER, NH --- Sophomore middle blocker AIMEE DRAINVILLE (Rockville, RI/Chariho) had a team-high 13 kills to lead Assumption College past Saint Anselm College, 3-2, in a Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball match here SATURDAY in the Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.

Assumption won in five games: 25-20, 26-28, 11-25, 25-23 and 15 12 to spoil senior day activities for the Hawks.

Saint Anselm freshman outside hitter CHARLOTTE TENCZA (Greenfield, MA/Greenfield) had a match-high 21 kills and a match high 17 digs to lead the Hawks. Freshman setter RACHEL FLAHERTY (Cold Spring, NY/Cold Spring) had a season- and game-high 48 assists, while senior outside hitters SAMANTHA REGAN (Danville, NH/Danville) and BETH LONERGAN (South Dennis, MA/Dennis-Yarmouth) added 12 and 15 digs respectively.

For the Greyhounds, sophomore setter MARILISA STRAND (Sarasota, FL/Cardinal Mooney) had 39 assists and 15 digs and junior libero KELLY BLUMENAUER (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) had a team-high 16 digs.

Assumption is next in action at Northeast-10 Conference rival New Haven Wednesday at 7 p.m. Saint Anselm travels to cross-town and conference rival Southern New Hampshire, also on Wednesday, for a 7 p.m. start.
