Greyhounds women's varsity four 22nd at Textile River Regatta

LOWELL, Mass. --- Assumption College opened its women's rowing season finishing 22nd in the varsity four event in the Textile River Regatta on the Merrimack River.

The boat is comprised of senior Maria FARIAS (Roslindale, MA/Boston Latin) in the bow, junior Amy CHAISSON (Tewksbury, MA/Tewksbury) at No. 2 position, senior captain Sandy MC DANIEL (Cumberland, RI/Mt. St. Charles) at the No. 3 position and senior captain Christina ROSSI (Gray, ME/Greely). Freshman Anne HARRIS (Worcester, MA/Doherty) was the team coxswain.

The team is next in action this weekend at the New Hampshire Championships on the Merrimack River in Pembroke, NH Saturday and then back here Sunday for the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond.
