WORCESTER, Mass. --- Sophomore forward STEPHEN BLAISDELL (Peabody, MA/Peabody) scored the game's only goal as Assumption College held off Le Moyne College, 1-0, in a Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer game TUESDAY at the Multi-Sport Stadium.

The win allowed the Greyhounds, now 3-1-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the conference, to remain in sole possession of first place in the league standings.

Sophomore goalkeeper BRANDON SULLIVAN (Halesite, NY/Saint Dominic) made five saves in net for the Greyhounds.

It was the second consecutive game that Blaisdell, the 2007 Northeast 10 Conference Freshman-of-the-Year, has scored the game-winner. His overtime goal Saturday was the game-decider as the Greyhounds stopped Stonehill College to move into a first-place tie with Southern Connecticut.

Blaisdell collected his own rebound in front of Dolphins' junior netminder STEVE WHITE (Cortland, NY/Cortland) and chipped it into the far corner at 68:51 in the second half. WHite finished with four saves for Le Moyne.

The Greyhounds opened with a tough 2-1 defeat at regional ranked Queens, NY in a non-conference game and have since been undefeated 3-0 1 in conference action---playing 1-1 overtime tie at American International College before coming home to beat Bentley (1-0), Stonehill (4-3, ot) and now Le Moyne (1-0). It is the best start to a season for the Hounds since 2003 when they opened 3-0-2 and 4-0-1 in 1999.

Le Moyne is now 4-2-1 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

The teams each had 11 shots on net in the game with Le Moyne owning a 6-4 first-half advantage and the Greyhounds a 7-5 second-half edge. Assumption had a slight edge in corner kicks, 5-4.

They host non-conference rival Concordia, NY Friday night at 7 p.m. in the Multi-Sport Stadium.
