Greyhounds play 1-1 double-overtime tie with Felician in men's soccer

WORCESTER, Mass. --- Sophomore goalkeeper BRANDON SULLIVAN (Halesite, NY/Saint Dominic) made seven saves to backbone the defense as Assumption College played a 1-1 double overtime non-conference tie with Felician, NJ College in men's soccer.
Greyhounds' junior forward STEPHEN BLAISDELL (Peabody, MA/Bishop Fenwick) scored his team-leading eighth goal at 6:43 of the first half. Sophomore defender MIKE PERKINS (Charlton, MA/Saint John's) sent Blaisdell in one-on-one on the goalie and he beat senior goalie PAULO DOS SANTOS (Toronto, Ontario/Sir Oliver Mowat) to the left post.
Freshman midfielder CARLOS CANIDO (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Tahuichi Academy) tied the game at 29:03 on a rebound in front of Sullivan.
The Greyhounds outshot the Golden Falcons, 24-15, while each team had nine corner kicks.
Asusmption is now 5-5-4 overall and host Northeast-10 Conference rival Merrimack College TUESDAY at 3:30 p.m. Felician is now 3-9-1.
